Herminium monorchis - Musk OrchidA diminutive plant rarely more than 10cm high. The flowers range from green to yellow green and the name suggests they smell of musk although the usual suggestion is honey!! Characterised by often forming large colonies. In the British Isles it is local and very much a plant of the southern chalk downs. Throughout central Europe, not reaching the meditteranean.
